Pepper Phoenix: Still Rising

Quick Trip to Helen

Husband booked a cute little lodge to visit Helen, Georgia! I had always wanted to go there to see the beautiful Bavarian Village. I highly recommend this lodge, it was small and romantic and a great price. The interior was clean and decorated as a little log cabin up in the mountains. It was really special. The pub-like restaurant next door offered great food. A discount was offered for staying at the lodge and it was delivered right to our door still hot.

The village itself was breath-taking. I can’t say how accurate to Bavaria it was, but it was quaint and attractive nonetheless. There were shops lining both sides of the street and plenty of restaurants to offers various kinds of food. One of the artistic shops there, the man had been creating wooden bowls for sale there for the last thirty-five years.

The best part of my trip was actually meeting a new friend! Up the hill, there was a craft show going on and as we perused the tents we found a great jewelry business, “The State of Zen”.

This is me with Alexis. Her hand-made jewelry is fabulous! I bought a necklace for myself and earrings for my daughter. It’s great to see women in business for themselves and always a pleasure to be able to patron. If you’re looking for gifts for the upcoming holidays, these pieces are quite unique and will blend with a variety of clothing styles. Please be sure to check out my friend at, State Of Zen, on facebook or instagram.
